Heinrich Brussow in good spirits despite injury

Heinrich Brussow starts recovery
We had the opportunity to visit Heinrich Brussow earlier today in the Life Rosepark Hospital in Bloemfontein and are pleased to say that despite the agony – there is a smile as well! Brussow had a serious injury to his knee with torn ligaments and underwent an operation yesterday. It appears that the operation, performed by top orthopaedic surgeon Dr Johan Kruger, went well and there is no need for additional concerns.
Although he will be missing rugby for the next 6 months or more, there are some positives to enjoy as well. Heinrich has indicated that he will definitely do some fishing and hunting during the time off. Once he is more mobile he will follow a strict process of rehabilitation and should be well rested and roaring to go as soon as the healing process allows him back on the pitch!
We will be keeping our rugby supporters updated on his process of recovery and are pleased to confirm that Heinrich has agreed to share some insights on the rugby performances during the Super14 , Tri-nations and Currie Cup.
We would like to wish Heinrich a swift and completer recovery and are looking forward to his return to the pitch!

That’s the spirit Heinrich. Keep on smiling and enjoy the rest.
Great to hear that you will share your thoughts on games this year. Can’t wait.
I wish you all the best! I really hope to see you back in the Springbok pack again real soon! WE NEED YOU BACK!!!
Where are you?!? With two Tri nation failures we really could do with the Schalk/Brussow combo!! Hope ur getting better and looking forward to your return!!
Hope your recovery is going well. I am an Aussie living in Brisbane – love the Boks as well as the Wallabies! Look forward to seeing you back next season. Happy birthday for today, too. Cheers.
