We asked you to help us select the Super Rugby All Stars side. There’s was a tremendous response when choosing the best players in their positions ever to have played Super Rugby.
We even had players such as the legendary Frenchman Serge Blanco and Philippe Sella were mentioned, a great as they were in the day, they were not considered because they never played Super Rugby. Players such a former Springbok and Sharks captain Gary Teichmann were mentioned and fared very well in the voting.
The side that was selected could almost be viewed as they greatest side ever to have played the game, however it wouldn’t be entirely the greatest side without players such as Gareth Williams, Danie Gerber, Colin Meads and the likes of.
The side selected is one with pace, attacking power, skill, super defence and brute strength…lots of it. It’s a side that would demolish any opposition on any field on any given day.
In a few of the positions the competition was tight and votes were neck-and-neck. The closest runners-up in various positions made the bench.

perhaps on reputation, earned a lot of respect maybe? though I do think he's done more internationally than at the Sharks even
sometimes you just have to keep quiet and accept that not everyone who can see knows what they are looking at…
What's John Smit doing there? No. This is not even close to being the best team. Probably depends on what province you come from.
This is a great team, would have like to see Jonah Lomu as well in the team.
