10 Wallabies will be officially graduated into the Classic Wallabies family at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane on Saturday night with a ceremony honouring their commitments to Australian Rugby and the Wallabies jersey over the years.

At half time in the clash between the Qantas Wallabies and the All Blacks, the Australian Rugby community will take a moment to acknowledge and thank the 10 retirees from 2017 who have made significant contributions to Australian Rugby over the years.

Benn Robinson Wallaby 814, Luke Burgess Wallaby 821, Huia Edmonds Wallaby 837, Drew Mitchell Wallaby 799, Dean Mumm Wallaby 823, Beau Robinson Wallaby 852, Brett Sheehan Wallaby 815, Mark Chisholm Wallaby 792, Matt Hodgson Wallaby 841 and Radike Samo Wallaby 789 will join the men who have gone before them as they officially hang up the playing boots for the last time.

To be considered a Classic Wallaby, you must have earned at least one Test or non-Test cap and officially retired from playing Rugby.

Classic Wallabies Manager, Stephen Hoiles said: “There are 10 men who are joining the Classic Wallabies on Saturday night and all of them have given tremendously to Australian Rugby over the years.

“These players’ journey with Rugby will now enter a new chapter, with many of them having moved on to new phases of their lives.

“As Classic Wallabies we have a great love for the gold jersey and for the players that have gone before us and for those who will continue the great tradition of the Wallabies, so Saturday is a special occasion to take stock of.”

The Classic Wallabies organisation runs several community programs and looks to engage the next generation of fans with Rugby, whilst acknowledging and honouring the proud history of the Wallabies jersey.

Australia will don an Indigenous Jersey on Saturday night, designed by Indigenous Artist Dennis Golding, honouring the 14 Indigenous men who have represented the Wallabies.
