Following their disappointing loss against England a few days ago, the Baby Boks bounced backed and demolished ireland in their 5th Place Semi-final match in Italy with a 57 – 15 scoreline.

The South African u/20 outfit lost 26-20 to England in their final Pool Stage match which saw them crash out of the Junior World Championships.

In a last-ditch effort to redeem themselves the BabyBoks went on to smash Ireland for the second time in the tournament. The two sides crossed paths in the Pool Stages as well where the Baby Boks also claimed a 46 – 26 victory.

South Africa will now face Fiji in the 5th/6th place final after Fiji beat Wales 34-20 earlier today.

New Zealand will play in their 4th consecutive final and also try to lift the cup for the 4th time after they convincingly beat Australia 37 – 7. They will face England who grinded out a 33-18 win against France earlier today.
