Loading...The Vodacom Bulls have returned to their mighty fortress after a clinical and extremely rewarding 34 – 0 thumping of the Southern Kings in Port Elizabeth last Saturday night.
In the build up to this Saturday’s clash against the Waratahs, the Blue Bulls Company (BBC) is reminding supporters and visiting fans about the wide variety of facilities available at Loftus Versfeld on match day. The recently introduced Bull Pen has proven to be extremely popular among all visitors, young and old. Interactive, virtual experiences include pitting your skills against the Vodacom Bulls’ front row or for a barrel of laughs, the dunk tank is a must for regular or first time spectators. There is fun to be had for all before and after kickoff at the D-Field, where young boys and girls can take full advantage of a host of facilities such as jumping castles, bounce donkeys, inflatables and jungle gyms. Another new addition at Loftus Versfeld is the Weber Braai area, which enables families to spend good quality time around the braai, using the facilities free of charge, ahead of the match.
Barend van Graan, BBC CEO, reiterated the ethos of the BBC, players and supporters and says 2013 is the year that the BBC takes sportainment to the next level.
“We are a proud, family-orientated franchise that strives to make the Loftus Versfeld experience the most memorable and exciting one for all patrons, young and old. This year we have increased our offerings at the Stadium with the Bull Pen, Weber Braai area and a play area for children. We are working tirelessly to make Loftus Versfeld a family destination of choice irrespective of your background or the team you support.”
With the largest fan base in the country, Van Graan is calling on all Vodacom Bulls supporters to be “pro-rugby”.
“Irrespective of who scores, we would like our supporters to applaud good rugby and not boo the opposition or their fans. Emotions are high and the environment is often quite intense, but we are urging all patrons at our Stadium to applaud or clap and not boo the teams.”
The BBC is reminding fans that racist behaviour or actions will not be tolerated at the Stadium. Should you experience racism, victimisation, crude language or drunkenness at Loftus Versfeld, please call (012) 420 0787, SMS 076 524 7590 or alternatively speak to the nearest security guard at the venue. These numbers are also displayed on big screens on match day and in the official match programme. Fans are reminded that smoking is not permitted within the Stadium and any contravention will result in fines being issued.
Due to large volumes entering and exiting the Stadium on match day, the BBC has upgraded the Access Control System. Fans can now look forward to easier and a more time efficient entry and exiting process.
“Our primary objective is to ensure that all patrons who come to Loftus Versfeld feel welcome and have an enjoyable and safe rugby experience. We will not tolerate any negative behaviour or acts at our Stadium,” said van Graan.
