After a week away last week, the Blues (minus their All Blacks and New Zealand Under 20 representatives) are back at training this week to prepare for a match against the Taniwha Northland Barbarians in Whangarei on Friday (kick-off 6.30pm).

Injury update

Charles Piutau (MCL strain) has taken his knee brace off and will progress to doing some straight line running this week. It is hopeful he will be available for the round 17 fixture against the Western Force in Perth on June 28.

Francis Saili (high ankle sprain) is also progressing well and will get some limited game time for the Blues Development team next week.

Lolagi Visinia suffered a low grade hamstring strain against the Hurricanes and will not play against the Barbarians on Friday. He should be available to play against the Force.

Jackson Willison (hamstring strain) is progressing well and will get some game time against the Barbarians on Friday.
