The Vodacom Bulls and VODE Premium Spring Water partnered up with Jacaranda FM’s DJ Jazzy D, to assist in getting food parcels into the community at Eersterust. The #FeedAFamily project run by the charismatic DJ has assisted more than 5000 families in the community since its inception a few weeks ago.

azzy D, together with members of the community have worked tirelessly in obtaining sponsors, packing food parcels and then distributing it using community resources.

VODE and the Vodacom Bulls provided buckets, with essential COVID19 educational tips, for the food packs to be distributed in. The contents of the bucket is valued at R200, and contains enough food to feed a family of four for 7-8 days.

The decision to use buckets to distribute the much needed food parcels is one based on practicality as a bucket serves a multitude of uses in the day-to-day running of a South African household. The bucket also serves as the perfect medium for bold and easy to understand guidelines and information regarding the virus.

Cobus Botha, Sales manager of VODE Premium Spring Water: “It’s an extremely uncertain and frightening time for us all at the moment. But it’s times like these that show us what we are truly made… We’ve seen our people from all walks of life come together and support each other. We are sincerely humbled and honored to be able to assist Jazzy D and the amazing heroes that have been providing food parcels in the Eersterust community.

They have worked tirelessly over the last few weeks… fund raising, sourcing food, packing the food and getting it delivered to those that need it. ”
The #BullsFamily urges our loyal supporters to not only get behind the C19 #FeedAFamily initiative but to assist wherever they can with similar projects, while remaining safe and following the lockdown guidelines as stipulated by government.
