- After scoring two tries against the Hurricanes last Saturday, JP Pietersen has now surpassed the try-scoring record held by Stefan Terblanche (35) to become the Cell C Sharks leading Super Rugby try-scorer of all-time (36);
- This will be the second meeting between the two sides in Super Rugby with the Cell C Sharks emerging 19-15 winners in Round 2;
- The Cell C Sharks have averaged the most turnovers won per game so far (9), with Andre Esterhuizen having won a team high of 12.
