Toyota Cheetahs vs Emirates Lions

 

The Toyota Cheetahs will be facing the Lions on Saturday, 23 May on their home ground, the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein.  Kick-off is at 17:05 and gates open at 15:30.

 

Rayno Benjamin will be running onto the field for his 50th Super Rugby game on Saturday when he is called from the bench.

 

Changes to the team:

 

  • Carel Greeff will be replacing Tienie Burger (concussion) and Henco Venter moves in on the bench

 

  • Raymond Rhule and Cornal Hendricks are the two wings with Ryno Benjamin as reserve.

 

Everyone is welcome at the Sparta Braai Area – come and buy a steak and braai it yourself.  Clint & Co will provide entertainment on the Castle Deck after the match.

 

R80 – Main Stand, R60 – Open Stand (adults) and R20 for students and kids.

Saturday’s SupeRugby match between the Toyota Cheetahs and the Lions at the Free State Stadium, Bloemfontein, will be the 13th match between these two teams since the first game on 13 May 2006 at Absa Park, Kimberley.
The Lions are leading with seven wins to the five victories of the Toyota Cheetahs.
It will also be the fifth time the teams meet at the Free State Stadium – previously known as Vodacom Park – since the first Bloemfontein encounter on 16 February 2008.  Out of the four previous matches in Bloemfontein, the Lions won three and the Toyota Cheetahs one game.
