Toyota Cheetahs vs Brumbies

 

The Toyota Cheetahs will be taking on the Brumbies in a Vodacom Super Rugby match in Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein on Saturday, 26 March 2016. The game kicks off at 15:05. Coach Franco Smith has announced his team for the encounter.

 

Changes to the team for last week:

 

  • Ox Nche, Johan Coetzee, Francois Uys and Boom Prinsloo are all included in the starting line-up with Charles Marais, Maks van Dyk, Carl Wegner and Henco Venter on the bench.
  • Paul Schoeman moves to number 8, sending Henco Venter to the bench and Boom Prinsloo starting at number 6.
  • Joubert Engelbrecht will be making his Super Rugby debut, replacing William Small-Smith on inside centre.

Curtain Raiser

In a curtain raiser that kicks off at 12:45 Toyota Free State XV will be facing a team from the Border Bulldogs in preparation of the Currie Cup competition.

 

Entertainment

After the match, Zak Steyn will be providing entertainment on the Castle Deck and Twizza will again be handing out giveaways on the field.  Supporters are encouraged to come and meet the players on field after the match.

 

Ticket prices: Main Stand – R80 for adults, R60 for kids, Main Stand – R60 for adults and R20 for kids.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.fscheetahs.co.za or at the Ticket office at Gate 8 (Att Horak Avenue) at the Free State Stadium.

Gates open at 12:00.

Glen Jackson from Australia will be the referee for Saturday’s Vodacom Super Rugby Round 5 match between the Brumbies, Super Champions and the Toyota Cheetahs Toyota Stadium, Bloemfontein.  This will be his 45th Super match as a referee.
Saturday will mark the 11th Super Rugby encounter between the two teams since 8 April 2006. The Brumbies are leading with seven wins to the three wins of the Toyota Cheetahs. It will also be the fifth time the teams meet at Toyota Stadium, since the first Bloemfontein encounter on 17 March 2007. The Toyota Cheetahs won three of the four previous matches in Bloemfontein.
The last time the Toyota Cheetahs hosted the Brumbies they won 27-21 on 17 May 2014 – both teams scored two tries.
