Last week we saw probably one of the closest matches played in terms of the scoreboard for all participating teams.

The FNB Maties triumphed over the FNB Madibaz with a two point margin, the final score 27 – 25.
In Bloem we saw that the Ikeys came 1 point short against a spirited FNB CUT team with the final score being 10 – 9.
It was indeed Tuks of Niks as the vistors, Shimlas, beat the home team 47 – 46 in a nail biting encounter till the last minute.
And finally  FNB UJ achieved the unthinkable by beating FNB NWU Puk by 36 – 31 at the Fanie Du Toit Sports ground.
This week is not going to be any different.
It is round three and the teams are slowly but surely getting into the thick of things.
Maties, the early favourites with 2 wins under their belt will be batling it out with FNB Tuks who still need to register a victory in this years competition.
The pressure is on Tuks as they will be playing the Maroon machine in Stellenbosch and Maties has proven to be a very tough opponent when playing at home in the past.
FNB UJ will be riding high after their victory over FNB NWU Puk and will be confident coming into their match against CUT.
After being thumped in the first round by Maties, CUT will hope to find that inner motivation again that helped them to be victorius over the visiting Ikeys side last week.
The unbeaten Shimlas, currently second on the log will have their work cut out for them when they will be facing off against a spirited Madibaz side that should have won against Maties last week. The Maties ended up winning the match in the final minute.
The beleaguered FNB Ikeys who haven’t registered a win yet will need to pull out all the stops when they face off against FNB Puk at The green mile.
Newly appointed coach, Hanyani Shimange will have to really dig deep and hopefully inspire his team so that they can  turn their season around.
The task is not going to be easy as NWU is looking to cement their place in the top three.
My predictions for round 3:
UJ vs CUT – UJ to win by 15.
Shimlas vs  Madibaz – Shimlas to win by 10.
Ikeys vs NWU – Ikeys to win by 12.
Maties vs TUks – Maties to win by 7.
