Cory Jane

In last night’s Hurricanes v Brumbies match at Westpac Stadium both Cory Jane and Karl Lowe suffered separate injuries which have been assessed today by the Hurricanes medical team.

Cory Jane left the field in the 24th minute of the Hurricanes match on Friday night. Jane had scans on his ankle today which demonstrate a high ankle sprain. He is expected to be out for approximately six weeks. It is not the same ankle he was ruled out with before the Crusaders game in April.

Flanker Karl Lowe has injured the medial ligament of the right knee. The injury was sustained in the final minutes of the game. Lowe he is expected to be on the side line for four to six weeks.

Hurricanes coach Mark Hammett said, “It is disappointing for both CJ and Lowey to be out with injury but we have been in this situation before and it means the other guys need to step up which they will do. Our medical team will monitor the two closely and work with them to get them back on the park when ready.”
