Simon Berghan (Edinburgh Rugby)

A Disciplinary Panel will meet in Dublin on Thursday, December 28 to consider the red-card decision against Simon Berghan (No 3) of Edinburgh Rugby against Glasgow Warriors on December 23, 2017.

The incident occurred in the 5th minute of the Guinness PRO14 Round 11 fixture at BT Murrayfield when referee Frank Murphy deemed the player to have committed an act of foul play against an opponent (No 2, Fraser Brown).

The referee showed the player a red card under Law 10.4 (b) – Stamping or trampling. A player must not stamp or trample on an opponent.

The player will face a Disciplinary Panel via video conference, the Panel will comprise of Michael Coghlan (Chair), Donal Courtney and George Spotswood (all Ireland).

 

Johan Meyer (Zebre Rugby Club)

A Disciplinary Panel will meet in Dublin on Thursday, December 28 to consider the red-card decision against Johan Meyer (No 7) of Zebre Rugby Club against Benetton on December 23, 2017.

The incident occurred in the 46th minute of the Guinness PRO14 Round 11 fixture at Stadio di Monigo when referee Marius Mitrea deemed the player to have committed an act of foul play against an opponent (No 5, Dean Budd).

The referee showed the player a red card under Law 10.4 (c) – Kicking. A player must not kick an opponent

The player will face a Disciplinary Panel via video conference, the Panel will comprise of Michael Coghlan (Chair), Donal Courtney and George Spotswood (all Ireland).
