AS the Southern Kings Super Rugby franchise continue their planning for the return to the southern hemisphere competition in 2016, Eastern Province rugby released a list of players on Monday (November 2) whose contracts have not been renewed as from November 1.

In addition, EP Rugby released information on players who have moved to other provinces or who have taken a new direction in their future.

The players whose contracts have not been renewed are: Enrico Acker, Karlo Aspeling, Eben Barnard, Albe de Swardt, Samora Fihlani, Andile Jho, Paul Schoeman, Kuhle Sonkosi, Claude Tshidibi, George Whitehead. Of those players, Schoeman had already signed for the Free State Cheetahs.

In other player movements, Marlou van Niekerk is on loan to the Pumas, Jan Uys has been given an early release to play overseas, and Jaco Grobler has also been given an early release to join his family business.

Confirmation of new signings will be made in due course.
