Free entry to Springbok Museum on Sunday

Loading...Rugby fans who are in the Western Cape on Sunday will have a once-a-year chance to visit the Springbok Experience Rugby Museum at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town free of charge – and they’ll even receive a free Castle draught.
The Museum – which has been nominated as a contender for the title ‘International Museum of the Year’ in the prestigious Museum + Heritage Awards in the UK – will mark International Museum Day on Sunday by throwing open its doors.
The Springbok Experience has earned rave reviews since it opened on Heritage Day in 2013. It recently welcomed its 25 000th visitor and has impressed local and overseas visitors alike.
The South African Rugby Union decided to mark Sunday’s International Museum Day by making entry free to all comers. They will be able to enjoy a broad rugby experience from playing interactive rugby skills tests to the in-house Springbok Concept Store by way of the museum itself.
And, as an added bonus, visitors will also receive a free Castle Lager Draught at the popular Quay Four Restaurant at the V&A on presentation of their entry ticket – and providing they are over the age of 18.
The Springbok Experience is open from 10h00 on Sunday as it is every day (except Christmas Day). Doors close at 18h00.
Normal entry charge is R50 for adults and R30 for the under-18s and over-60s. There are discounts for families and group and school bookings.
