Two players have been cited for alleged foul play in their Week 5 ITM Cup matches and will face judicial hearings today.

Counties Manukau lock Jimmy Tupou has been cited by Citing Commissioner Michael O’Leary for allegedly striking Waikato first five eighth Damian McKenzie during their ITM Cup match at Waikato Stadium on Sunday.

Meanwhile Wellington fullback Jason Woodward has also been cited for allegedly striking Canterbury winger Patrick Osborne during their Friday night match at AMI Stadium in Christchurch.

The alleged incident occurred in the 42nd minute of the first half.

Both Tupou and Woodward have been cited under law 10.4 (a).

Tupou’s judicial hearing will be held by teleconference at 11.30am today before Judicial Officer Roger Drummond, while Jason Woodward will appear at a 3:00pm hearing before Judicial Officer Bruce Squire QC.

The outcome of both hearings will be advised after the conclusion of the second hearing.
