Junior Wallabies Head Coach Jason Gilmore has made five changes to his side ahead of their final pool match against 2018 runners-up England, with the squad looking to continue its undefeated season in 2019.
In the forwards Joe Cotton, Pat Tafa and Nick Frost have all been moved into the starting side replacing Lachlan Lonergan, Will Harris and Michael Wood. Henry Robertson replaces Michael McDonald at scrumhalf and Joey Walton slots into outside centre taking the reins from Junior Wallabies stalwart Semisi Tupou.
The Junior Wallabies secured their spot in the semi-finals for the first time since 2011 with a 45-17 victory over Ireland last Saturday.
Junior Wallabies Head Coach Jason Gilmore said: “We wanted to get a clean sweep in our pool stage and we’ve said the whole time that winning is a habit.
“The boys have got good momentum going at the moment and they’re all behind it and we want to keep this momentum going into the semis.
“It’s another Test match. It’s a big one against England and the boys are really keen to play in this one,” Gilmore said.
The Junior Wallabies last pool match kicks off at 4.30am on Thursday 13 June and will be broadcast LIVE on FOX SPORTS 505 and Kayo Sports.
