Loading...DHL Western Province forward Michael Rhodes was cited on Monday for a dangerous tackle in the Absa Currie Cup final against the Sharks in Cape Town on Saturday.
Rhodes was penalised in second half for placing his arm around Sharks hooker Bismarck du Plessis’ neck in a maul and maintaining his grip for a few seconds, which is in breach of law 10.4 (e) relating to dangerous tackling.
The player will appear before a SARU disciplinary committee on Tuesday at 15h00 in Cape Town. Adv Donny Jacobs has been appointed the Judicial Officer.
