DHL Western Province U21 will be looking to secure a semifinal spot when they face Leopards U21 in Potchefstroom on Friday.

Currently in third position on the standings heading into the final round of league fixtures, a win in Potchefstroom will book a play-off spot for Head Coach Jerome Paarwater’s team.

There are four changes to the backline and three in the forward pack for the clash, which kicks off at 15h45 on Friday.

At fullback Aidynn Cupido comes in to earn his first cap of the season, with Duncan Saal moving back to right wing to make way for the returning David Brits and Herschel Jantjies back at scrumhalf after being rested last week.

In the forward pack captain Ernst van Ryhn is back at flank, with Brendon Esterhuizen coming into the second row and tighthead prop Carlu Sadie back in the starting line-up.

Paarwater said that his team will be going all-out to make it four wins from six games and secure a play-off spot.

“We know that it is going to be tough to travel up to Potchefstroom, but we are looking forward to the challenge.

“Our play-off destiny is in our own hands, so we will not lack for motivation, the key will be to maintain as much focus and accuracy as possible,” he said.
