Days out from the start of the rugby sevens programme at the Commonwealth Games, the New Zealand teams have confirmed player replacements.

The changes bring young talent into the women’s squad, with 19-year-old Alena Saili replacing Tui in the playing group and 17-year-old Risi Pouri-Lane confirmed as the travelling reserve and in line for a potential international debut.

Akuila Rokolisoa, who made his All Blacks Sevens debut last weekend in Hong Kong, will join the men’s team as their travelling reserve.

The team have arrived in the Gold Coast ahead of competition kicking off on Friday 13 April. They will meet Kenya, South Africa and Canada in pool play.
