SA Referees feature in Vodacom Super Rugby appointments

Three South African referees – Mark Lawrence, Jonathan Kaplan and Marius Jonker – will feature in round one of the Vodacom Super Rugby when the competition kicks off on Friday 18 February 2011.
Lawrence will referee the historic Australian derby in Melbourne featuring the Rebels and the Waratahs on Friday at 10h40 (RSA time). Kaplan will officiate the game between the Brumbies and the Chiefs in Canberra on Saturday at 10h40. Jonker takes charge of the traditional Jukskei derby in Johannesburg when the Lions host the defending champions – Vodacom Bulls at 19h10.
In round two, Craig Joubert who refereed last year’s Vodacom Super Rugby final controls another South African derby when the Cheetahs kick off their home campaign against the Vodacom Bulls in Bloemfontein on Friday 25 February 2011 at 19h10 while Jaco Peyper will be the man in the middle for the following day’s action at Mr Price Kings Park when the Sharks host the Blues at 17h05.
Pro Legoete will be the sixth South African referee to officiate a Vodacom Super Rugby match when he handles the game between the DHL Stormers and the Cheetahs in Cape Town on Saturday 5 March 2011.
