Four top South African referees, Stuart Berry, Craig Joubert, Jaco Peyper and Marius van der Westhuizen, were on Wednesday named on World Rugby’s match-official panel for the June Internationals.

The referees for the Springboks’ three Test matches against Ireland in the Castle Lager Incoming Tour in June were also named. They are Mathieu Raynal of France, Angus Gardner of Australia and New Zealand’s Glen Jackson.

Raynal has been tasked with officiating the first of the three Tests between the Springboks and Ireland, in Cape Town on 11 June, with Gardner and England’s Matthew Carley named as his assistants.

Gardner will take charge of the second Test in Johannesburg on 18 June with Jackson and Ben Whitehouse (Wales) by his side, while Jackson will officiate the third and final Test between the teams in Port Elizabeth on 25 June, with Gardner and Whitehouse named as his assistant referees.

Berry will take charge of the Test between Argentina and Italy in Argentina on 11 June, while Peyer will officiate the match between World Champions New Zealand and Wales in Wellington on 18 June.

Joubert will be taking the whistle in the clash between Australia and RBS Six Nations champions, England, in Melbourne, and Van der Westhuizen the match between the USA and Italy in San Jose, also on 18 June.

Joubert has also been named as an assistant referee for the clash between Australia and England in Brisbane, and Peyer for the match-up between New Zealand and Wales in Auckland on 11 June. Berry, meanwhile, has been named as an assistant referee for the Test between Argentina and France on 18 June.

The trio will be on duty as assistant referees again on 25 June, with Joubert in the match between Australia and England in Sydney, Van der Westhuizen in Sacramento where the USA host Russia, and Peyper in Wellington where the All Blacks go up against Wales.
