Loading...History will be made in 2017 when the BNZ Crusaders host the British & Irish Lions for the first time at AMI Stadium on Saturday 10th June, and season ticket holders have a chance to be there with an exclusive ‘right to buy’ offer.
Tickets for this historic match will go on sale on Friday 28th October, but fans who become a 2017 season ticket holder before 23rd September are guaranteed the right to purchase tickets and book their place in the stands at AMI Stadium.
New Zealand Rugby has confirmed that All Blacks players will be made available for the BNZ Crusaders side to face the Lions next year, which ensures fans will be treated to a match of international quality and plenty of star power.
BNZ Crusaders CEO Hamish Riach says the match provides an exciting opportunity for fans to experience what will likely be a test-match atmosphere between the two sides: “This match is a first for Super Rugby and the BNZ Crusaders, and we are excited to be hosting the British & Irish Lions at home in 2017. It’s special for our fans to be able to witness such an historic match, and the fact that ours will be a Saturday night fixture will hopefully mean more of our fans can head along in support of the BNZ Crusaders.”
The last time the Lions toured New Zealand was back in 2005, and Christchurch rugby fans witnessed a thrilling All Blacks victory by 21-3. The BNZ Crusaders will host the third game of an intense 10-match series against Warren Gatland’s side, which includes matches against the four other New Zealand Super Rugby sides and three All Blacks tests.
2017 BNZ Crusaders & Canterbury Season Tickets
Season Tickets start as low as $179 and $97 for children, and this includes all BNZ Crusaders home matches at AMI Stadium, plus five Mitre 10 Cup matches, and the preferential right to purchase the Lions match versus the BNZ Crusaders.
