My name is Chantal Cloete and I’m a student at the University of the Witwatersrand, studying towards my Bachelor of Commerce with Honours in Marketing Degree.

As partial fulfilment of this degree I need to submit a research project or thesis.

I am conducting my research on fan identification with the Sharks rugby team and hope to add valuable research to the limited information available on sports marketing in South Africa.

I am looking for 5 people to interview who are white males, between the ages of 20 and 40 and who were born in Johannesburg and are still living in Johannesburg. I was hoping you could point me to some of your members, with their permission?

The interview procedure would broadly be as follows:

· The interview will be conducted by myself and will last between half an hour to an hour.

· The interview will be recorded for archiving and academic purposes.

· You will not be forced to answer any questions which you feel uncomfortable answering or find offensive in anyway.

· Your answers will remain confidential and no other persons will have access to the name database.

· Should you wish, you may request a copy of your interview transcript for review.
