Regular Vodacom Bulls skipper, Adriaan Strauss, is back to lead the team when they face the Hurricanes at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday. Strauss missed the last two Vodacom Super Rugby matches due to a foot injury, but returns to the middle of the scrum and takes over the captaincy from Hanro Liebenberg and the hooking spot from Jaco Visagie.

Vodacom Bulls coach, Nollis Marais, also made changes to his backline. Jesse Kriel moves to wing in place of Rabs Maxwane and Warrick Gelant returns to fullback.

At flyhalf, Tian Schoeman will again wear the number 10 jersey.

Ulrich Beyers moves onto the bench in place of Gelant. If he takes to the field, this will be his first appearance of the season.

Vodacom Bulls lock, Lood de Jager, will play in his 50th Super rugby match.

The team: Warrick Gelant, Duncan Matthews, Jan Serfontein, Burger Odendaal, Jesse Kriel, Tian Schoeman, Rudy Paige, Hanro Liebenberg, Jannes Kirsten, Ruan Steenkamp, Lood de Jager, Jason Jenkins, Jacobie Adriaanse, Adriaan Strauss (c), Lizo Gqoboko.
