THIRSTI, the natural spring water company from Normandien in KwaZulu-Natal, is the latest addition to SA Rugby’s family of partners as the official water partner to the Springboks and SA Rugby for the next three years.
Already the chosen hydration partner to local franchises, the Cell C Sharks and Vodacom Bulls, as well as the world-renowned Comrades Marathon, SA Rugby announced on Tuesday that THIRSTI will become one of its sponsors.
Bottled at source in the Klein Drakensberg mountains, THIRSTI has grown into one of South Africa’s leading bottled water brands in the space of only five years. And has firmly entrenched itself in the sports space where top quality hydration is key.
In announcing the partnership, SA Rugby CEO Jurie Roux said: “We’re living in challenging times and we’re excited that we are able to announce new partners, especially a proudly South African company such as THIRSTI.
“THIRSTI Natural Spring Water is a quality product with the right mineral content and a pH to keep our teams well hydrated on and off the field. Not only is THIRSTI’s spring water different, but the brand really stands out with a fresh approach and values that align well with SA Rugby.”
THIRSTI Managing Director Rob Hoatson said: “It is an absolute honour to align our brand with the extraordinary and iconic Springboks and to serve mother nature’s best to these world champions.
“South African rugby is steeped in passion and pride, and we cannot wait to begin our journey with them this weekend, as the Castle Lager Rugby Championship kicks off with a home game against Argentina.”
THIRSTI is more than just Natural Spring Water; THIRSTI is a way of life. THIRSTI attracts a young, vibrant market with a thirst for life and authentic experiences. THIRSTI started production at the end of 2015 with their iconic Still and Sparkling ranges. 2019 saw the release of the ultimate sports drink, ISOFIT+, and a bold THIRSTI Flavours range was added in 2020. With its unique taste, attractive design, and a pH level of 8, THIRSTI has made massive strides in its relatively short time in the market with listings in all major retailers throughout South Africa.
