The Toyota Cheetahs has travelled to Italy this week to take on Zebre on Saturday, 28 October at the Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi in Parma in Round 7 of the Guinness PRO14 championship.

Kick-off is at 18:00 and the match will be broadcasted live on SuperSport 2, following the Currie Cup final.

The referee for the match is Dan Jones.  He will be assisted by Andrea Piardi and Gianluca Gnecchi.  The TMO is Alan Falzone.

Although the Toyota Cheetahs beat Zebre at home, they will be expecting a tough encounter in Parma.

“Both sided like to play with ball in hand which promises to be an exciting game to watch,” said Corniel van Zyl, Forwards Coach of the Toyota Cheetahs and former Benneton Treviso player.  “I enjoy being back in Italy and we look forward to a competitive performance that supporters will enjoy.”

The experienced flyhalf, Fred Zeilinga will be making his Guinness PRO14 debut when he sets foot to field after being side-lined due to an injury.  He sustained a hip injury in July this year during Vodacom Super Rugby match against the Kings in Port Elizabeth.  Number 8, Jasper Wiese has been called up from the Currie Cup team and will be playing in first Guinness PRO14 game on Saturday.

The following players are not eligible for team selection due to injury:

Elandré Huggett (knee), Neil Jordaan (ankle and knee), Steven Meiring (appendix), Gerhard Olivier (ankle), Ruan van Rensburg (knee), Niel Marais (shoulder), Uzair Cassiem (rib), Henco Venter (concussion).
