Coach Rory Duncan has announced his team to take on the Scarlets in the only inter-Conference fixture of the round on Saturday, 2 December their first Guinness PRO 14 encounter.

Kick-off in Toyota Stadium, Bloemfontein is at 19:35 and gates open at 16:30 in time to watch the Castle Lager Outgoing Tour match between the Springboks and Wales on the big screen. Both matches will be broadcasted live on SuperSport 1.

Scarlets have won their last six Guinness PRO14 encounters, whilst their only defeat in the Championship since early March was to Ulster in Belfast.

“The game against Scarlets will be a great challenge for us, especially playing them later in the year but the players are really excited. We will have to put our best foot forward but we belief that it is a team that we can beat. ” Torsten van Jaarsveld, Toyota Cheetahs captain.

“Our approach is to take it one week at a time. It is about executing what we’ve rehearsed. To focus on continuing to improve and to keep on getting better,” said Coach Rory Duncan.

The only change to the team from last week is Craig Barry who will be replacing Luther Obi on right wing. Obi broke his arm in the match against Edinburgh. Sibhale Maxwane will be providing cover on the bench and making his Toyota Cheetah and Guinness PRO14 debut when he sets foot to field.

The following players are not eligible for team selection due to injury:

Elandré Huggett (knee), Neil Jordaan (ankle and knee), Gerhard Olivier (ankle), Ruan van Rensburg (knee), Niel Marais (shoulder), Justin Basson (hand), Ernst Stapelberg (hip), Henco Venter (head), Luther Obi (arm).
