Carling Currie Cup competition kicked-off last weekend with the defending Carling Currie Cup champions, the Toyota Cheetahs, having their first round bye.

The Toyota Cheetahs will be facing the Vodacom Bulls in round two of the Carling Currie Cup campaign on Saturday, 5 December at Loftus Versfeld, Pretoria.

The action kicks off at 16:30 with a live broadcast on SuperSport. Due to Covid-19 regulations, supporters will not be able to attend the match.

The full log table of Vodacom Super Rugby Unlocked was carried over to the Carling Currie Cup, meaning the Vodacom Bulls are leading the current standings with 27 points, the Cell C Sharks occupy second spot on the log with 24 points and they are followed by DHL WP (20), Toyota Cheetahs (17), Xerox Lions (16), Phakisa Pumas (7) and Tafel Lager Griquas (4).

Victor Sekekete will be in the starting line-up for their first time in this competition.

George Cronjé will be making his debut for the Toyota Cheetahs.
