Two backline changes for DHL WP

Loading...DHL Western Province has had to make two changes to the backline for the Currie Cup encounter with the Cell C Sharks at DHL Newlands on Saturday.
The forward pack that started in the win against the Xerox Golden Lions last week has been retained for the coastal derby, which kicks off at 15h00 at DHL Newlands on Saturday.
With SP Marais sidelined with a knee injury, Dillyn Leyds moves to fullback with Ruhan Nel starting in his place on the wing.
The only other change comes at scrumhalf with Dewaldt Duvenage starting in place of Jano Vermaak who is in Argentina on Springbok duty.
On the replacements bench lock, Eddie Zandberg and scrumhalf Justin Phillips come into the mix, along with flyhalf Robert du Preez who returns from injury.
DHL Western Province Head Coach John Dobson said that his team will give absolutely everything in their final game before their bye next week.
“It is great to have a reasonable amount of continuity in selection and we really want to build on the momentum we have gathered in the last two weeks.
“The players know that we will have to raise our standards once again and we are all looking forward to what should be a serious challenge,” he said.

Replacements: 16 Ramone Samuels, 17 Michael Kumbirai, 18 Eddie Zandberg, 19 Steph de Wit, 20 Justin Phillips, 21 Robert du Preez, 22 Dan Kriel.
