Van Rooyen cops one match suspension

Loading...Vodacom Bulls prop Jacques van Rooyen has been handed a one match suspension after attending a SA Rugby disciplinary hearing on Tuesday.
Van Rooyen was red carded for a dangerous tackle on DHL Western Province fullback Warrick Gelant in the second half of their Carling Currie Cup match last weekend.
The infringement was deemed to be entry an entry level offence which saw the two week ban being reduced to one week.
The 34-year-old front rower will thus miss the Carling Currie Cup match against the Toyota Free State Cheetahs on Saturday, 5 November 2020.
