The Vodacom Bulls booked their spot in the 2012 Super Rugby play-offs when they beat the MTN Lions 37-20 at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria.

The Bulls secured 5th spot on the final SuperRugby log with a bonus point victory and will now travel to Christchurch to face the Crusaders in one of the play off matches to determine the semi-finalists.

The first half ended in a 20 all draw with both teams scoring two converted tries and two penalties. Akona Ndungane and Bjorn Basson went over for the Bulls while Michael Bondesio and captain Joshua Strauss crossed the white wash for the Lions.
