Sigma Lions head coach Ivan van Rooyen has made two changes to the match day 23 that will welcome the New Nation Pumas to Emirates Airline Park on Friday, 30 July.

Sibusiso Sangweni will get a starting berth due to an injury which forced Roelof Smit to leave the field early in last week’s Carling Currie Cup match against the Vodacom Bulls, while Morne van den Berg will bring energy from the bench.

The Currie Cup match will kick-off at 16:45.

The Lions U20s will get their SA Rugby u20 Championship preparations underway on Friday, when they welcome the Cell C Sharks u20s to Johannesburg in a friendly match.

This is an exciting side, which will be captained by Junior Boks’ captain, Sasko Ndlovu. The match kicks off at 12:00.

After successfully defending their title last week, the Mastercard Golden Lions will travel to Durban to play in the promotion relegation for the Womens’ Premier Division against the Cell C Sharks Women.

“We are fortunate to be able to select the same 23 players that did us proud in the final of the First Division last Saturday. It’s going to be a tough encounter and it will pose a couple of challenges to us, but we should be able to handle those. We are looking forward to the game,” said Timmy Goodwin, coach to the Mastercard Golden Lions.

Kick-off is at 11:30 and can be live streamed on
