Blitzbokke crowned Dubai 7s Champs

Loading...South Africa are the 2014 Dubai 7s Champs and are a step closer to Olympic qualification.
The Blitzbokke put on the gas in the second half to beat Australia 33 -7 (7-7 Half-time) in the Cup Final. They showed too much pace and power for their opponents in what can be described as a clinical and tactically sound performance.
South Africa’s defense was key to their victory and the side showed character to limit Australia to seven points in the game.
Coach, Niel Powell was happy with the victory and equally impressed with the defensive effort.
Kwagga Smith and Seabelo Senatla impressed in what was a brilliant team effort. Smith was chosen together with Werner Kok and Cecil Afrika as part of the Dubai 7s Dream Team.
Next up: Nelson Mandela Bay Sevens in Port Elizabeth on the 13th and 14th December 2014.
