Boland Cavaliers name team to face Western Province in Velddrif

Loading...Divan Nel will debut at fullback for the Boland Cavaliers against Western Province on Saturday in a Supersport Rugby Challenge match at the Smitpark Sports grounds in Velddrif (6 May 2017).
Nel represented UJ during this year’s Varsity Cup competition where he enjoyed a superb season at fly-half.
Nel is one of only two changes to Boland’s starting XV that faced Border in the SRC opener in Port Elizabeth two weeks ago. Nel replaces Adriaan Carelse (injured) at fullback, with Cavaliers stalwart Clemen Lewis replacing Chadley Wenn at hooker, after having recovered from a minor injury.
A number of changes have been made to the replacements bench, with two players in Arnout Malherbe (prop) and Ludio Williams (flank) ready to make their professional debuts for the Cavaliers.

Saturday’s match between the Boland Cavaliers and Western Province kicks-off at 15:00 at the Smitpark Sports grounds in Velddrif, with a Bergriver XV vs Velddrif RFC XV curtain raiser scheduled for 13:00.
