In the support of Wires and the incredible work they are doing in the continuous effort to rescue and rehabilitate injured animals in Australia due to the widespread bushfires that have still not subsided, the Lions Rugby Company and the Emirates Lions will be hosting a breakfast in Sydney where all proceeds will go to Wires.

A panel with high profile rugby personalities from SANZAR, Australia and the Lions will talk about the business of rugby in 2020. Brendan Morris and Andy Marinos from SANZAR, CEO of Rugby Australia Raelene Castle, Lions Rugby Chairman Altmann Allers and CEO Rudolf Straeuli will take part in the panel discussion while WIRES CEO Leanne Taylor will share some insight on saving the animals of Australia.

It is impossible to know how many animals have perished and it will be many months before the impact on wild populations can be better understood but ecologists at Sydney University have estimated over 800 million animals have been affected in Australia since September.

Every contribution, no matter the size, will definitely make an impact and your support would be greatly appreciated. Vodacom has donated a substantial amount and is challenging other sponsors and stakeholders to follow suit.

WIRES, based in New South Wales, need urgent assistance to help with these unprecedented emergencies.

We urge you to open your hearts and your pockets and join us in helping this worthy cause.

A video featuring some of the Emirates Lions players, was shot on location at the Rhino and Lion Nature Reserve in Kromdraai.

The Lions Rugby Company have reached out to all fans of rugby, sponsors and stakeholders to support this worthy cause by either attending the function or donating.

Tickets for this event is available online at https://cutt.ly/jrPaMg1 from AUD$120 (excluding GST) per seat.

We have no Planet B. Help us help WIRES and spread the word.
