Sunwolves vs Toyota Cheetahs

The Toyota Cheetahs will be taking on the Sunwolves in a historical Vodacom Super Rugby match on Saturday, 12 March 2016 at the National Stadium in Singapore.  The game kicks off at 12:55 (SA time).  Coach Franco Smith has announced his team for the encounter.

A couple of changes to the team for last week:

  • Charles Marias and Ox Nche switch places with Nche in the starting line-up and Marais on the bench.
  • Jacques du Toit will be starting as hooker, with Torsten van Jaarsveld on reserve.
  • Maks van Dyk moves to the bench, while Johan Coetzee will be making his Super Rugby debut, starting as tighthead prop.
  • Francois Uys is included as vice-captain in the starting line-up, replacing Springbok Lood de Jager.  De Jager is being rested for the game in accordance to SA Rugby‘s rules that states that Springboks are not allowed to play in five consecutive matches.
  • Henco Venter replaces Neill Jordaan as number eight.
  • Neil Marias will be starting as flyhalf with Fred Zeilinga on the bench.
  • Sias Ebersohn will be replacing Clayton Blommetjies as fullback.
  • Hilton Lobberts is new on the bench.
