Chiefs pummel Sharks to lift 2012 SuperRugby trophy

The Chiefs from New Zealand convincingly beat the The Sharks 37-6 in the final of the 2012 Super Rugby tournament to be crowned champions for the first time ever.
The Chiefs outscored the Sharks by four tries to zero and the only points the Sharks had to show for all their efforts were two penalties by flyhalf Fredric Michalak.
The Chiefs dominated territory and possession throughout the whole 80 minutes. Not only did they cross the advantage line almost every time, they also smashed the Sharks on defense and forced them into countless errors and turn over possessions.
Another tactic that worked like a charm for the Chiefs and unsettled The Sharks was clever chip and cross kicks behind the Sharks defensive lines by flyhalf Aaron Cruden and fullback Robbie Robinson. The Sharks were caught out of position numerous times as they committed numbers to the rucks and were forced to scramble back in defense most of the night.
Three weeks of traveling eventually caught up with the Sharks and they were beaten by the better team on the day.
