The schoolboy rugby rivalry between Brandwag and Muir College, both top academic institutions in the garden town of Uitenhage, goes back many a year.

Although Brandwag had the better of Muir in recent years it takes nothing away from the competitive spirit of the day. This year’s match was played at Brandwag and they eventually ran out comfortable winners by a 40 – 3 margin.

The match was played in an excellent, yet competitive, spirit, with Brandwag scoring 6 magnificent tries to the single penalty by Muir College. Brandwag already led by 21 – 3 at half time.
