ENGLAND Counties XV have called up Blaydon and Yorkshire back row forward Gavin Jones as emergency cover for their international against Emerging Georgia in Tblisi on Sunday June 8 (3pm BST).

Jones replaces Tom Stradwick of Blackheath and Kent whose tour has been cut short because of a back injury which he sustained in training ahead of the 48-23 over Emerging Georgia on Wednesday.

Jones will leave England on Saturday and is not due to arrive in Tblisi until the early hours of Sunday morning. Stradwick is returning early for further assessment on his injury.

England Counties have delayed naming their side for the tour finale until tomorrow to give their medical team more time to assess back-row forward Jesse Liston (Blackheath and Kent) who suffered an ankle injury in Wednesday’s match and hooker Will Radburn (Birmingham & Solihull and North Midlands) who suffered a head injury in the same game.

Wing Lewis Vinnicombe (Truro and Cornwall) will also require a fitness test on a groin strain but full-back Sean Taylor (Preston Grasshoppers and Lancashire) is expected to play after he was rested for the tour opener.
