Force A has continued its winning ways in the Pacific Rugby Cup, defeating Junior Japan 61-6 at the ‘Force Field’ (nib Stadium) this afternoon.

The home side ran in nine tries, with captain Chris Tuatara-Morrison and Ryan Louwrens touching down for two apiece, while inside centre Luke Burton’s goal-kicking was on song, drilling home eight conversions from nine attempts.

In sweltering Perth conditions, it was the Japanese side that scored first through the boot of scrumhalf Genki Okoshi.

Force A winger Dylan Sage responded for his side with a 21st-minute try before Tuatara-Morrison found space down the right-hand side to add his side’s second five minutes later.

While Okoshi added another penalty, Force A openside flanker gave his side a 21-6 lead at the break when he broke through to put back-row partner Corey Thomas over.

The scoring continued in the second half with Louwrens adding two within the first 15 minutes of the term, while flyhalf Dillyn Leyds, Tuatara-Morrison, Adrian Hall and front-rower Joe Savage also crossed to complete the 55-point victory.

Force A will next take on the Fiji Warriors on Monday, 10 March in Brisbane.
