The Western Force will proudly feature another Western Australian business on its playing jersey, with leading engineering and project services contractor, Clough, on board as the collar partner for the 2014 season.

Clough, established in Perth in 1919, services the energy & chemical and mining & mineral markets in Australia, Papua New Guinea and Asia.

Clough will appear on the Western Force jersey for the first time when the club opens its Asteron Life Super Rugby campaign against the NSW Waratahs in Sydney this Sunday (23 February).

RugbyWA CEO Mark Sinderberry welcomed the partnership with Clough saying it was pleasing to align with another Western Australian company.

“We’re very proud to wear the name of another quality Western Australian business on our jersey in addition to the 15 companies who will be adorning the front of our playing jerseys in 2014,” he said.

“As a proud Western Australian club, this continues our renewed focus and commitment to our state, following on from the fact that in 2014 we have more locally grown Perth players in our squad than ever before and have an active presence in the local Western Australian community.

“We are proud to partner with Clough, who shares our drive to grow rugby from grassroots through to the Western Force. Their support is integral in helping our club reach our goals and vision of success, and we look forward to working with them to achieve their business objectives.”

Clough CEO, Kevin Gallagher, said his organisation was excited about the partnership.

“Clough’s sponsorship of the Western Force brings together two strong Western Australian organisations that are united in the pursuit of excellence,” he said.

“We are delighted to extend our strong community program through a partnership that targets grassroots through to elite level rugby. We look forward to developing a strong partnership with the Western Force, as they lay the foundations for future success.”
