For the first time ever, fans at this months’ HSBC Sydney 7s will be served craft beer following a new partnership struck with Gage Roads Brewing Co.

The award-winning brewery will be one of the official partners for the massive three-day event which attracts thousands of people from across Australia and around the world.

Gage Roads Partnerships Manager James Purcell said, “This is Rugby’s summer festival of fun and what better way to add to the fan experience than offer an exciting new beer.’’

The Single Fin Summer Ale which is their fastest growing beverage will be poured at bars throughout Allianz Stadium and feature at the Gage Roads Fan Village near the Southern Plaza.

“Single Fin was designed with sun-drenched summer days in mind. We think it will be the perfect complement to a weekend of fun, fast-paced Rugby 7s,” said James.

Gage Roads is one of Australia’s most awarded breweries, winning the Champion Australian Beer Trophy at the 2016 Australian International Beer Awards, plus Best in Show and Champion Draught Beer at the 2017 Sydney Royal Beer & Cider Show.

General Manager of Commercial Partnerships at Rugby Australia Peter Sciberras said ‘’We welcome Gage Roads to what is a unique Rugby experience at the HSBC Sydney 7s. We want to make sure our fans enjoy the Sydney 7s and this partnership ticks that box.’’
