17 JULY 2017 – Celebrating its 80th birthday this year, Isuzu is proud to renew its sponsorship with the Vodacom Bulls and continue a partnership that is as reliable and rugged as our vehicles themselves.

Much like the Bulls are known for their tough, uncompromising and exceptionally professional style both on and off the field, Isuzu is Made from Real and shares many of the same qualities in a partnership that fits exceptionally well in an increasingly competitive environment.

Isuzu’s recent announcement of its intention to strengthen its presence in South Africa by investing in an assembly plant, is further demonstrated by continuing the successful partnership with the rugby union.

The Blue Bulls Rugby Union celebrates its 80th anniversary next year, a year younger than Isuzu with both brands having established themselves as leaders in their environment that have overcome whatever obstacles have stood before them, and delivered in a strong, exceptional manner.

Both brands have established themselves as firm favourites among South Africans, built on reliability, durability and above all, a commitment to quality. The partnership will continue to achieve success as, like the Bulls, Isuzu Delivers.

It is a commitment that filters not only through the partnership, but also in everything that Isuzu does.

“Our ongoing partnership with the Blue Bulls is a key part of our brand building strategy for the Isuzu brand. We look forward to continuing our successful partnership with the Bulls and I’m confident both brands will be worth watching as we take on the challenge of winning in our respective playing fields,” says Ian Nicholls, President and Managing Director GM Sub-Saharan Africa.

CEO of the Blue Bulls Company, Barend van Graan, believes partnering with sponsors like Isuzu is beneficial for both the brand and the supporters of South Africa’s favourite rugby team.

“Professional sport is undergoing many changes at the moment, and to keep a brand like the Blue Bulls at the forefront of these changes, manage them well and invest in a return that sees success both on and off the field, we need strong partners,” van Graan said.

“Isuzu have proven themselves as a leading vehicle manufacturer over the years and have an inherently South African nature that appeals to us. They have been wonderful sponsors over the years and we are fortunate to partner with them once again.”
