Ahead of the squad announcement on 30th April, HSBC Ambassador and Lions legend Jason Robinson has selected his starting XV for the upcoming British & Irish Lions Test series against the Wallabies. The former dual-code international was impressed by what he saw in England’s win over New Zealand in the Autumn Internationals and from all the home nations in the recent 6 Nations championship, subsequently naming a side that features eight Welsh internationals, the reigning 6 Nations Champions.

In the backs, where Jason himself played five tests for the Lions, memorably scoring in the opening Test in 2001 on the Lions last Tour to Australia, he has named Welsh full-back Leigh Halfpenny on the wing and has given Ireland’s most capped player Brian O’Driscoll the nod as captain.
