After an impressive away win to the Sharks in Durban last Friday, the Boland Cavaliers are all set to face the EP Kings in Wellington on Saturday in round two of the 2016 Currie Cup competition.

In a match where few people backed the Cavaliers as favourites to beat the Sharks, an energetic and fast-paced approach resulted in a 37-25 victory for the visiting Boland-side. Boland lead 22-13 at the break.

Boland’s tries were scored by Shaun Adendorff, Shaun McDonald, Ryan Nell, Danwell Demas and Adriaan Carelse, while Nico Scheepers added 12 points with the boot, through 3 conversions and two penalties. For the Sharks, tries were scored by S’bura Sithole, Khaya Majola and Wandile Mjekevu, with Innocent Radebe contributing 10 points off the kicking-tee.

The Cavaliers and the Kings will clash at the Boland Stadium in Wellington on Saturday at 16:00, with coach Brent Janse van Rensburg only making one forced change to the starting XV who faced the Sharks, where winger Craig Pheiffer replaces the injured Sergio Torrens. On the reserves bench, Gavin Hauptfleisch makes way for Namibian international flyhalf Theuns Kotze, while former Boland Craven Week hooker and SA Schools player, Francois Esterhuizen, replaces JC Genade.
