Lions u21 team for semifinal clash against WP

Loading...Russell Winter welcomed back three of his Lion Cubs that represented the seniors last weekend for Saturday’s Under 21 semi-final against Western Province at City Park.
Lock Bobby de Wee, tighthead Pieter Scholtz and centre Gerdus van der Walt come back from senior duty but the one that was needed most, captain Dylan Smith is still on senior duty.
De Wee will take the reins and Van der Walt will have to pass a concussion test. The trio plus number eight Jano Venter played Currie Cup rugby during the last few weeks.
Flanker Cyle Brink is also back after injury but flanker Ruan Ackermann might not be available. The senior coach’s son has been included on the bench as a precautionary measure.
