McInnes Wilson Lawyers Brisbane City have named their side to take on the Melbourne Rising in Round 4 of the Buildcorp National Rugby Championship.

City have made four changes to the side for this weekend’s clash in Melbourne, as they chase their first away win of the season.

Head coach Rod Seib has made two changes to the starting side. Leroy Houston’s move to English club Bath on a short-term contract has given Brothers’ back rower Criff Tupou his first start in the NRC, while Easts’ Toby White back in the side at outside centre.

On the bench, Queensland Under 20s back row Tuaina Tualima stands to make his Brisbane City and NRC debut, while his Sunnybank teammate Brendan Mitchell returns to the side as extra cover for the forwards.

Seib said: “This is an important match in the context of our season. We’ve lost two games now, so every contest is vitally important to get our season back on track.

“There were some positives in the first half of last week’s tough loss to the Vikings, but we need to build on that and sustain it for 80 minutes. Melbourne are a good side and we can’t afford any lapses in defence if we’re going to beat them at their home ground.”

Brisbane City face the Melbourne Rising at Harlequins Rugby Club in Melbourne this Saturday at 3:00pm. The match will be broadcast live on Fox Sports.
