McInnes Wilson Lawyers Brisbane City have named their side to take on the third-placed Sydney Rays in this Sunday’s must-win clash at Ballymore Stadium.

City coaches have made a number of changes for the match, highlighted by the promotion of Queensland Under 20s scrumhalf Moses Sorovi to the starting side after regular Nick Frisby was called into the Wallabies squad for their next two games.

There are also a number of changes in the forward pack, with Brothers’ youngster David Findlay-Henaway earning his second start for the season, while work-horse Luke Beauchamp shifts to the back row and Reds’ flanker Michael Gunn returns to the starting side after missing last week due to illness.

This match will also see the return from injury of Reds and Brisbane City flanker Adam Korczyk, who will play his first match of 2016 from the bench. Korczyk, who made a try-scoring debut for the Reds in 2015, suffered a significant knee injury during the 2016 Super Rugby pre-season and has only just returned to full fitness.

City head coach Rod Seib said: “The results haven’t gone our way in recent weeks, but we know we can control the elements that are letting us down. The side fought well last week against the Rising and we were disappointed not to come away with a victory. We intend to put in a much more consistent performance in front of our home fans this Sunday.

“With just three games left in the regular season, we’re under no illusions as to how crucial every performance is. We’re determined to turn our season around and ensure we are still in the race when it comes to the finals.”

Fans are encouraged to make the most of the family friendly kick-off time and get to Ballymore Stadium this Sunday afternoon to watch some entertaining, attacking Rugby.

As is tradition with games at Ballymore, fans will be allowed on the field at half time and after the match. Young fans are also encouraged to join the centre-field tunnel to welcome the team onto the field prior to kick off.

Brisbane City plays the Sydney Rays at Ballymore Stadium this Sunday at 3:00pm. Tickets are available at www.redsrugby.com.au. The match will also be broadcast live on Fox Sports.
