MiWay Insurance is proud to announce its sponsorship of the National Sevens Rugby Tournament taking place at Bloemfontein’s Sentraal High School on Saturday, 5 September 2015. The tournament is aimed at learners under the age of 17 and promises to be a day of non-stop rugby action.

Sixteen high school teams including Grey College, HTS Louis Botha, Zastron and Heatherdale High School will be participating in the tournament. The tournament serves as a platform for learners to showcase their talent and stand a chance to be noticed by provincial and national selectors. The MiWay National Sevens Rugby Tournament will also act as annual trials for the selection of the Free State Under 17 provincial team.

MiWay will further provide assistance in the form of transport and rugby balls to three development high school teams in Bloemfontein.

Nthabiseng Moloi, Head of Marketing and Brand at MiWay said, “MiWay is delighted to be part of the development of young talent. Our CSI initiative, The MiHeart Project, is firmly focused on education and we believe that sport plays an integral role in the education process – something MiWay is recognising through our support of this tournament.”

A total of 50 learners under the age of 13 will also be given the opportunity to attend a rugby skills development clinic which will be hosted by Toyota Free State Cheetah players. The clinic will offer an incredible opportunity for developing players to compete, learn from experienced rugby players and improve their standard of play.

“We’re looking forward to being part of this tournament, especially now, when our country is focused on rugby and the World Cup. We hope that through these types of tournaments and development initiatives, we can have a hand in inspiring and growing the young talent that we know exists in our schools. The tournament will include entertainment for every member of the family and we invite everyone in and around Bloemfontein to share in the fun and support up-and-coming rugby talent,” concludes Moloi.

MiWay is an Authorised Financial Services Provider (Licence no: 33970).
